| Drone used in violation of order seized, man arrested | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 9: Police in Kalakote police station of Rajouri district have arrested a photographer for using drone in violation of Government order and creating a security concern in the area.
Police said that on 08th of July, a reliable information was received at police station Kalakote that a drone - like object was flying at Potha near Kesar Gaala, Kalakote and it flew towards forest area.
Due to this, a panic like situation emerged in the area and people in the close vicinity of Potha area were scared.
Keeping present security scenario into consideration and acting very swiftly, police teams of PS Kalakote led by SHO Deepak Pathania and assisted by PSI Amit Radhay and PSI Anis Choudhry searched different locations.
It was established that a baarat of son of Kulwant Singh son of Babu Ram resident of village Swari Koteranka was moving from Swari to Daali. On reaching Potha, a videographer namely Rahul Sharma son of Sudesh Sharma resident of Lower Paloura, Jammu who was accompanying the baarat flew drone for taking shots and then moved on.
A police team after hectic efforts arrested the erring videographer and seized drone as DM Rajouri had already banned flying of drones in District Rajouri through an order in June 2021.
In this connection, a case FIR 61/22 U/S 188/IPC has been registered at PS Kalakote.
People of the area widely appreciated the swift action of Kalakote police. |
