Amarnath Cloudburst: Dr Farooq, Omar express grief, condole deaths

JAMMU, July 9: President J&K National Conference and former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah have expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic deaths of pilgrims due to a cloudburst near the holy Shri Amarnath Ji Cave Shrine the other day.
Dr Farooq Abdullah, while expressing sorrow over the tragedy, said, "I feel distressed after receiving the tragic news about the loss of pilgrims' lives in the cloudburst near Shri Amarnath Ji cave shrine. I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray to the almighty to bestow patience and courage to the bereaved families who lost their near ones in this natural calamity." It is hoped that the Yatra will resume soon as and when the weather improves.
The Vice President JKNC Omar Abdullah while expressing grief stated, "I am deeply pained by unfortunate incident of cloudburst at Shri Amarnathji Holy Cave, in which precious lives have been lost. I send my heartfelt condolences to bereaved families having lost their near and dears in the unfortunate tragic event.
National Conference General Secretary, Haji Ali Mohd Sagar in his condolence message has said that tragedy has struck the pilgrims during the holy Amarnath Yatra in which precious lives have been lost. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed to Allah to bestow patience to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.
Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal Additional General Secretary, Hussain Masoodi MP, Mohd Akbar Lone MP and Mian Altaf Ahmed said "We feel highly disturbed to receive the news of unfortunate cloudburst near the holy cave of Shri Amarnath Ji. We share the pain and grief of the family members who lost their kin in this natural calamity. We pray for peace to the departed souls while conveying condolences to the said families.
