Bureaucratic rule no substitute to popularly elected govt: NC
7/12/2022 10:28:31 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 12: Coordinator Jammu District Urban and Zonal Secretary Dr Vikas Sharma today said that National Conference alone was a party that has acceptability in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and can guarantee their equitable development.
While interacting with youth at Greater Kailash, Dr. Vikas Sharma said that eversince BJP took over the reign into its hand, besides general public, majority of youth have totally been broken and gone into a state of desperation due to anti youth policies of the present government. He said that growing unemployment was a matter of great concern as the present regime has miserably failed to create job opportunities for the youth.
Dr Sharma also said that before 5th August 2019 Jammu used to be called as City of temples when people were getting all basic facilities like drinking water, power and clean roads. But, sadly, after August 5th 2019 Jammu city was painted as Smart City with people now facing tremendous problems with regard to drinking water supply, electricity as even roads connecting streets are in broken conditions. Instead different taxes are being imposed upon the public on the pretext of providing amenities, but there is none to listen for redressal of public grievances. Therefore, the public is appealed to apply the sagacity of mind before using their vote in the coming assembly elections.
He reiterated the party's stand with respect to restoration of statehood with full powers to address the aspirations of people. He mentioned that people have suffered a lot during the last three years especially after the abrogation of Article 370, bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir and downgraded of State to a Union Territory. He said that NC is fighting and will continue its fight till restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Now, they want to get rid of bureaucratic rule and waiting for the popularly elected government," Dr Vikas further said. He maintained that bureaucratic rule is no substitute for the popularly elected government.
Dr Vikas said that we have standing instructions from our party President Dr Farooq Abdhulla to keep in constant touch with the people at the grass root level and take note of their problems for appropriate solution and timely disposal.
Hence it is my duty to be with the public all the time and my doors are always open for the people, who can share their grievances twenty four hours, Dr. Vikas added.
