| GDC Basohli organises Paper Bag Making competition to commemorate Paper Bag Day | | | Early Time Report
Basohli, May 22: Under the ageis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ Literary Club in collaboration with Eco club of Government Degree College, Basohli organised Paper Bag Making competition to commemorate Paper Bag Day on July 12, 2022. The event was organised under the patronage of Principal, GDC Basohli, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal. The event was organised to raise awareness among students about Paper Bag as sustainable and efficient packaging that contributes to fighting climate change and environmental pollution.
The resource Persons, Sanjogita Dogra and Rekha Sharma from Buddha Arts and Painting Studio taught students the technique of making Paper Bags.
Around 50 students from different semesters participated in the competition. They made paper bags with old newspapers and chart papers. Shipali Billowria from semester VI bagged the first position, Anjana from semester II bagged the second position and Kiran Bala from semester II stood third. Resource Persons, Sanjogita Dogra and Rekha Sharma were the judges of the event. The event was organised by Dr. Ujhala, Member, Literary Club. Principal of the College, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal, congratulated the winners and motivated the students to make use of Paper Bags and say no to plastic. |
