Computer Lab Inaugurated at Department of Business Administration, GDC , Kathua.

KATHUA, July 12: In an impressive and well attended function, Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia, Principal, Govt. Degree College Kathua, inaugurated the newly created computer lab for the Students of Department of Business Administration, Govt. Degree College Kathua here today.
Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia, the chief guest on the occasion, while speaking, lavished praise on the functioning of the Department and said that The BBA Department is one of the rapidly growing departments in the College with regard to its functioning.
He called upon the students and the faculty members to make use of the Computer Internet facility to interact and share knowledge with the experts in various parts of the country and other nations.
He also exhorted upon the students to derive maximum benefit from the computers technology, adding that computer literacy has become vital for making a mark in every field of life and it is need of the hour to generate computer knowledge among the students in order to compete at any level. He said that it should be collective endeavor to help and encourage students studying in government colleges for their better future.
He appealed the teachers to work with dedication and utmost zeal and impart quality education to the students so that they can effectively face future challenges in Business world.
Earlier, Dr. Jasvinder Singh, Head, Department of Business Administration (BBA), in his welcome address, described the Computer Lab at BBA Department, as the first step towards digitalization. He said that installation of Hi- tech Computer Lab facility at the BBA Department is one of the prominent initiatives with regard to taking the department to great heights, adding that providing such kind of opportunities to the students could help them to develop themselves by learning something new. He said these initiatives have been taken keeping in view the networking needs, so as to promote academics and collaborative research within and across the nations.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof Romila Guleria, Prof. Seema Malpotra, Prof. Raj Kiran, Prof. Jasvinder Singh (Department of Physics), Prof. Rakesh Jasrotia, Dr. Himani Arora, Prof. Kanchan Mala, Dr. Jogbinder Singh who provided their valuable support in establishing the Computer Lab.
