Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 25: Former Minister and president, National Conference Central Zone (Jammu, Samba & Kathua), Babu Rampaul lambasted the BJP led Centre Govt for making the lives of people miserable with its senseless and directionless policies.
Addressing a meeting at Tutan-di-Khui in Jammu which was organized by Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu Distt (Urban) Dr Vikas Sharma, Babu Rampaul said that Centre downgraded the status of J&K from State to Union Territory and also abrogated its special status owing to which all state subjects were exposed to tremendous amount of hardships.
"The people of J&K were promised that they will get jobs, development, peace, prosperity and many other things after the abrogation of J&K's special status, but nothing happened on the ground and people are running from pillars to post to get their things done", he lamented.
Lauding the pro-people work done during the NC rule, he said that his party leadership knew the ground realities and framed the policies in such a way that people of J&K irrespective of region, religion, caste and creed benefited equally. "NC reads the pulse of people in true sense of term but BJP took all decisions in a hasty manner just to fulfill their political agenda," he added.
Former minister cautioned the people against the divisive agenda of BJP and urged them to stay united to defeat their agenda. He also urged the people to support and strengthen NC in the forthcoming Assembly election.
He urged the party cadre not to waste their time and strengthen their base to defeat the nefarious designs of communal forces in the forthcoming assembly elections. He also lauded the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Jenab Omar Abdullah in sailing the party smoothly in the turbulent times.
Meanwhile Babu Rampaul conducted a tour of Bajalta, Tutan-di-Khui of Jammu where people apprised him about poor condition of roads, scarcity of water and power supply and Babu Rampaul gave a patient hearing to various problems of people and assured to make all out efforts for taking up the grievance for appropriate redressal.
On the occasion others who spoke in the meeting included Dr Vikas Sharma, Sandesh Shan, Ch. Rehmat Ali (BDC Chairman), Jamat Ali (Panch), AS Jamwal, TK Sharma and others.
