Kavinder slams Mehbooba over remark against Ram Nath Kovid; says PDP chief lost mind
7/25/2022 10:56:11 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 25: Looking into the uncalled for and highly irresponsible remark by Mehbooba Mufti against former President Ram Nath Kovind, it could be inferred that PDP Chief has lost mind after the unceremonious collapse of her party especially after abrogation of Article 370.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta in a rejoinder to PDP chief's statement against former President Ram Nath Kovind claiming that he fulfilled the BJP's political agenda at the cost of the Indian Constitution.
Kavinder said that surely the devastation which the PDP has witnessed after its stalwart leaders dumped the party and found new avenues in the political circles of Jammu and Kashmir has made Mehbooba 'deranged' otherwise no sane person in political circles would drag the name of highest office in the country into such controversies.
The senior BJP leader said that the Party has supported very few presidents including APJ Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind till date and all of them were accepted readily by not only the people of the country but also the opposition parties, and such babyish statements against the highest constitutional post is therefore unacceptable. He said after the BJP government led by PM Modi has stopped Hawala transactions from Pakistan, Mehbooba and her ilk have gone fidgety and such immature statements are merely the after effects of the strict actions taken by the government.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that Mehbooba has turned restless because shops of PDP and that of other political parties which used to indulge in blackmailing tactics during Congress' regimes had been shut and these so-called people's representatives of Kashmir have lost relevance in political, social and even local arenas. "This is the main reason for her to speak out of context and give unwarranted statements", he said, adding that the PDP leader should apologize for her irresponsible statement as the President's coveted post is not political rather it is the supreme post and challenging it in such a cheap manner is 'disgusting'.
