4 bovine smugglers arrested, 26 animals rescued

REASI, Aug 2: Drive against bovines smuggling in district Reasi continues, police teams laid special nakas, arrested 04 bovine smugglers and rescued 26 bovines from their possession.
Team of Police Post Dewal led by PSI Narinder Jamwal and Insp. Karnail Singh SHO Mahore under supervision of Sh Chhabil Singh SDPO Mahore laid a surprise naka at Dewal Area, intercepted two Bovine smugglers namely Mohd Yousaf S/O Sadiq R/O Saldhar, Bashir Ahmed S/O Abdul Satar R/O Saldhar and rescued 21 bovines from their possession. In this regards a case FIR No . 98/2022 U/S 188 stands registered at Police Station Mahore and accused got arrested on the spot.
In another incident Police Team of PP Talwara led by PSI Sunil Singh and Insp. Sunil Sharma SHO Reasi under Supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Sh. Iftkhar Ahmed foiled one bovines smuggling attempt in Talwara area of District Reasi In which two smugglers namely Khurshid Mohd S/O Ghulam Qadar and Ghulam Qadar S/O Hamid R/O Puria, Tehsil Pouni District Reasi got arrested while smuggling five bovines. Accused got arrested and bovines rescued. In this regards case FIR No. 188/2022 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at Police Station Reasi.
Reasi Police under supervision of Amit Gupta SSP Reasi established zero tolerance towards Bovines Smuggling and is committed to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling from the area.
