15 day certificate course on INM is underway at KVK, Reasi

REASI, Aug 26: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Jammu (SKUAST-J) is conducting 15 days certificate course on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) here today at KVK, Reasi campus for input dealers from different areas of both Reasi and Udhampur districts. The programme is being organised under the dynamic stewardship of Vice Chancellor, Prof.JP Sharma and able guidance of Director Extension, Prof.SK Gupta of SKUAST-J. Various technical sessions have been arranged during the programme. Dr.Banarsi Lal, Sr. Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi elaborated the various types of manures and fertilizers and their efficient uses. He discussed on the nutrients management in different crops and urged the participants to start the agri-entrepreneurships in rural areas. He highlighted the vermicomposting technology and elaborated various other eco-friendly practices. He narrated that through eco-friendly technologies farmers can reduce the cost of cultivation. He also guided the participants on biofertlizers and biopestices. A field visit was also arranged for the participants during which they visited various units, crop cafeteria and farm of KVK. Participants took keen interest in the technologies demonstrated by KVK and asked various quarries which were answered by the experts in a satisfactorily way. The programme was assisted by Manohar Lal and Sanjay Kumar.
