National group song competition organized

KATHUA, Sept 24: Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua Branch Organized an Interschool National Group Song Competition in the premises of Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Shiva Nagar today.
District Education Planning Officer Kathua, Kewal Krishan Presided Over the function where as Rahul Dev Sharma, Councilor W.No. 19,Kathua was the Guest of Honor. The competition started with the traditional lightening of the candle by the chief guest and guest of honor followed by the reciting of Vande Matram. About 7-8 teams from different Schools of Kathua displayed their talent on this occasion. The Hindi and Sanskrit songs enriched with national spirit were selected from the book "Chetna Ke Svar" published by Bharat Vikas Parishad New Delhi. The participating teams presented their best creating an aura of smoothing music and national emotions. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad in bringing up the best in the students by displaying their talent and enriching the society with the ethics and moral values. Prof. Dr. Ram Murti Sharma the Chief Patron of BVP highlighted the motto of the organization and apprised the audiences of various social activities being undertaken by the branch during his welcome address. Ashok Gupta President BVP Kathua expressed his gratitude towards the dignatories and the host institution for providing the means and measures to make the event a gala success. The adjudicators of the event included Sh. Rakesh Singh Sambyal , Sh. Sunil Shad and Sh. Rajeev Sharma. Children of Manu Shiksha Kendra Hr Sec. School, Rajbahg bagged the first position while, Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua snatched the 2nd spot. The 3rd spot was grabbed by Minerva Public School, Kathua. The consolation prize went to M.H.S D.A.V Sr. Sec. School, Kathua. The winners of the competition and participating contestants were given mementoes and the certificates by the chief guest. Vote of thanks was extended by G.S Katal, Director Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua, while the rules and regulations were read out by Kuldeep Goswami Secretary. Present on the occasion were Ditt Kumar Sharma, Kartar Singh, Rainder Sharma, V.R Sharma, Kapileshwar Dogra and Chairmen of various Schools, members of the organization, Staff, Students and prominent citizens. The proceedings of the program were carried out by R.S Katal. The event ended with the recitation of National Anthem.
