All India devotional song competition to be held after 2 years

KATRA, Sept 24: A meeting of Navratra Festival's All India Devotional Song Competition Committee (organized by SMVD Shrine Board, J&K Tourism & PTC Network in association with Patanjali Dantkanti, Monalisa, Lia Agarbati, J&K Bank, SMVD Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Nidheesh Builders & Developers Pvt.Ltd. and other other organizations) was held here today under the chairmanship of its Chairman Rakesh Wazir wherein threadware discussions were held with regard to its preprations and while speaking on the occasion Wazir briefed that Navratra Festival's All India Devotional Song Competition will be held this year after a gap of two years with full fan fare and glory with top film personalities and singers from Film Industry will grace the occassion and these besides performing their duties as Judges will perform their as well.This year the former winners of the competition including Mool Raj, Sonali Dogra, Anjusha, Sanjeet Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Chaman Lehri will also perform live.
Wazir while speaking on the occasion said that this year this would be 23rd competition and efforts would be made to increase its horizon and keeping in view this fact in mind,the all over India publicity for auditions and participation is going on through print and electronic media which are going to be held from 26 Sept.Oct.to 1st Oct. and its registration can be done at Tourist Office Katra personally or through mobiles 9419915907, 9797684979.
Wazir further elaborated that the Ist prize of the competition would be 3 lakh and recording contract with Venus records & Tapes Ltd. and the pattern of qualifying rounds is wherein 2nd & 3rd winners of the preliminary rounds will compete on 2nd Oct.i.e. Quarter final 1st position holders of daily competition will compete with the winners of the Quarter final on Semi final i.e. on 3rd Oct. for their entry into Mega Final to be held on 4th Oct. at Yog Ashram Ground and leaving aside Mega final repetition of devotional song will not be allowed in quarter final/semi final.
In the meeting different committees were formed for the smooth conduct of the competition which included Committee for Reception of guests which comprised of Shyam lal Kesar as its Chairman & Virender Kesar as Co- Chairman,Committee for finalizing of names of judges to be submitted onwards for their final approval included Swami Yoganand ji Maharaj as its Chairman. The Committee for facilitation of auditions and its management will comprise of Subash Chander as its Chairman and Gopal Singh & Ashok Kumar as Co-Chairmen. The committee for media facilitation and management include Rakesh Sharma as its Chairman and Arun Kumar as its Co-Chairman. The committee for stage settings/sitting arrangements and supervision include Sardari Lal Dubey as its Chairman and Shiv Kumar Sharma as its co Chairman.The Committee for accommodation of media and out side singers include Virender Kesar as its Chairman and Shyam Lal Kesar as its Co-Chairman. In addition to that a Committee was also formed for taking immediate major decisions will comprise of Rakesh Wazir Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee as its Chairman with Chairmen of all Sub- Committees of AIDSC as its members.
Wazir further said that live telecast of the programme for all nine days will be made through PTC Punjabi Gold form 26th Sept. to 4th Oct. from 9 PM onwards daily & 92.7 Big FM would be the Radio Partner.
The meeting among others was attended by Shyam Lal Kesar,Rakesh Sharma, Virender Kesar, Sudershan Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Subhash Chander etc.
