Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 24: In continuation with the spirit of celebration and adventure, on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed Sports Centre at Pinegrove School, an excited and all geared up team of 24 students from Classes 8-12 including 8 girl students escorted by Administrator Lt. Cdr. Abhishek Rana and Staff Members Ms. Veni Negi and Ms. Roza Mann Grewal embarked on the journey of a lifetime to Mt. Everest Base Camp as they were flagged off with the blessings of the Executive Director, Capt. AJ Singh on 24th September, 2022. The Trek to 5400 mts (approx. 18000 feet) of the South Side Mt. Everest Base Camp from Kathmandu, Nepal is another feather in the cap of Pinegrove School student mountaineering team after having scaled the roof of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2019. This 15 day Camp organized by Adventure Pulse will try to capture Nepal’s picturesque beauty and culture of its natives in the shortest possible time.
The students will also undertake one of the most exciting 30 minute flight to Lukla, as the Tenzing-Hillary Airport happens to be one of the most challenging airstrips in the world. The magical mesmerizing phenomenon of experiencing snowfall on the trail, accomplishing acclimatization, thrilling sense of unbridled joy and the indescribable triumph of scaling one of the greatest wonders of the world all lie in store for the exuberant enthusiasts who have been preparing themselves for over 2 months. They are wished the very best of health, strength and traveling mercies as they attempt to further their limits and may their esprit de corps sing victory.
