NSS Unit of GLDM Degree College Hiranagar visited Adopted Middle School Pathwal.

Jammu, Sept 24: The NSS Unit of GOVT. GLDM Degree College, Hiranagar visited adopted middle school, village Pathwal under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Pragya Khanna. Before leaving for the adopted village school a NSS Pledge taken ceremony was held in the college premises and then the visit was flagged off by the worthy principal and senior faculty Prof. Gurdyal along with NSS Program officer, Prof. Rakesh Sharma. The main aim of the visit was to commemorate “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” and “Poshan Mah”. On this occasion an awareness program was organized in the adopted school in which four NSS Volunteers namely – Reema Sharma, Komal Sharma, Mansi Sharma and Bhag Hussain presented their views on the theme “ILL effects of drugs” . The volunteers also highlighted the importance of healthy diet and lifestyle. In addition to this NSS volunteers also interacted with the students of the adopted school and exchanged their views on various current issues related to the theme.
The Head master of the school Sat Paul Gupta welcomed the NSS Unit of the college for visiting the school and organizing such kind of awareness programs so many times. He also appreciated the principal of the college for making liaison with the school through NSS Unit. The proceeding of the program was conducted by Prof Rakesh Sharma NSS Program officer. Other NSS Team members who accompanied the NSS volunteers were Prof. Manjot Singh, Dr. Chinky Sangral, Dr. Usha Rani and Dr. Preeti Verma. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Chinky Sangral
