Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 24: A delegation of drivers of the private vehicles ferrying the school going children met Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa here and apprised him about the problems being faced by them.
The delegation told Randhawa that they are being harassed by the authorities on the one or other pretext.
“Several vehicles were challaned and some were confiscated by the authorities without any valid reason”, they said, adding that hundreds of school going children are also facing problems once our vehicles get seized.
“We ply our vehicles with all valid documents despite that the authorities harass us without any reason”, the drivers said, adding that a concrete policy should be framed for the drivers, who ferry school going children.
Randhawa gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that all their issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for redressal.
“You are working and promoting the Atma Nirbharar Bharat initiative of the visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, he said, adding that your efforts should be appreciated by one and all.
“BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on the theme of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas’ and is committed for the overall development of Jammu and its people”, Randhawa said, adding that “BJP is working to mitigate problems of the people and give them respite from miseries which they are facing for the last over 70 years”.
He said instead of talking about big things the BJP leadership is focusing on local issues which can make a big difference in the lives of people.
