First Phase of B2V4 starts in Poonch with full fervor
Government- public interface program evokes overwhelming public response across 82 panchayats

POONCH, Oct 28: The first round of the fourth edition of the ambitious "Back to Village programme" took off across 82 Panchayats in Poonch district, today.
The visiting officers chaired a series of meetings in which several issues related to the concerned Panchayats were discussed in detail.
The visiting officers inspected ongoing developmental works, government schools, PMAY Houses, Anganwari centres etc. They listened to the grievances projected during the meetings and documented the same and assured that all the demands and issues shall be redressed in a phased manner.
The visiting officers, accompanied by PRI members of the Panchayats, inaugurated a number of works including those completed under languishing scheme, 14 FC, MGNREGA, B2V3 etc.
Foundation stone of toilet complexes, Inauguration of water tank, Inauguration of different roads, Issuance of Land pass books to the beneficiaries, Conduct of Plantation drive in different Panchayats and sports activities were also held during the day. The officers also handed over the keys of the newly constructed houses under PMAY to the beneficiaries. Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, along with Tehsildar Mandi Shazad Latief Khan visited different panchayts in Tehsil Mandi. The DC interacted with the public and listened to their issues. He also attended the e-Inauguration function of BRO road at Sawjian khet and also inspected the under Construction work of Polytechnic College at Sathra and other ongoing developmental works. He directed the concerned officers to complete the work at an earliest.
The visiting officers apprised that the ambitious Back to Village programme bridges the gap between the government functionaries and the villagers and representatives of Panchayats and facilitate inflow of feedback from the villagers which helps the administration to tailor the schemes and plans to better the life of the rural people.
They also made the masses aware of a number of Government schemes and asked them to come forward and reap the benefits of the schemes.
