ASCOMS holds induction day ceremony

JAMMU, Dec 5: The Induction Ceremony of 1st Prof. MBBS students (Batch 2022-23) of ASCOMS was held in the College auditorium on 5th December 2022. The ceremony was attended by 1st Prof students, their parents, management, faculty members and other staff members of the institution. Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Prof. & Head Deptt. of Orthopaedics and Medical Education Unit, Coordinator gave a brief outlay of this Induction Ceremony and apprised the students about new curriculum. Dr. Ravinder K. Gupta, Prof. & Head Paediatrics and Vice Chairman, Sports & Cultural Activities, while addressing the gathering stressed on the need of extra -curricular activities for maintaining physical and mental well being.
Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal addressed the gathering with his inspirational words. He stressed the students to maintain decorum of this noble profession and study with zeal and honesty. He specially advised new entrants to shun away from both mental and physical addiction.
Dr. Vanita Gupta, Prof & HOD Deptt. of Anatomy delivered the "Charak Shapath" in English and Dr. Usha Kumari delivered oath in Hindi, which was sworn in by the 1st Prof. students. All the proceedings were conducted by Rishu Kour, Assistant Professor Dept. of Anatomy. This activity was organized by the Departments of Medical Education.
