Dy mayor kick starts blacktopping work at Lower Gadigarh

JAMMU, Dec 14: Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu kick-started the blacktopping work for Lower Gadigarh area and said that this is an important part of the development of the said area and I am happy to be here and witness the start of this process. The Deputy Mayor, Jammu Billawaria was accompanied by Ward 10 Corporator Anil Masoom, Former Sarpanch Vijay Sharma, Rinku Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Sarvan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, Mulkh Raj, Suraj Prakash, Kesar Lal and PWD officers. This is an important step and I am confident that it will help improve the living conditions for the people of Lower Gadigarh. Deputy Mayor Jammu said that I thank the authorities for their efforts and commitment to this work. I am sure that this will be beneficial to the people of Lower Gadigarh and will help improve the quality of life for them."
Deputy Mayor Jammu said that Black topping of roads are the need of the hour for the development of the said area. He further added that the roads should be made accessible to all sections of the society. He also mentioned that the Municipal Corporation of Jammu is taking all necessary measures to ensure that the roads are constructed according to the standards set by the government. The Deputy Mayor also informed that the Corporation has already taken up several initiatives to improve the roads in the Jammu city. He said that the Government has also identified certain areas in Jammu which will be given priority for road construction. He also added that the Government is also in the process of creating a database of all roads in the city and the condition of each one.
Former Sarpanch Vijay Sharma, while appreciating the efforts of the Deputy Mayor, Jammu said that Baldev Singh Billawaria is always ready to provide support to his workers.
Later, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor, Jammu conducted a tour of Ward 55, Arjun Vihar in RS Pura-Jammu South Constituency. The Deputy Mayor took stock of the development works going on in these areas and listened to the problems of the residents. The people apprised the Deputy Mayor, Jammu that most of the roads in their areas are in a dilapidated condition and there is an urgent need for repair of roads in their areas. He said that Jammu Municipal Corporation has undertaken all necessary measures and directed all concerned authorities for immediate developmental works. He assured the residents that their grievances will be addressed shortly. Local residents thanked Billawaria for visiting them and listening to their problems.
