DC presides over Block Diwas at Ramsoo; Distributes land passbooks
Says Prashasan Gaon ki Aur campaign aims to provide hassle-free, improved public service to people

RAMBAN, Dec 14: District Administration, Ramban today organized weekly “Block Diwas” meetings in all designated blocks to reach out to the public at their doorsteps under ‘Prashasan Gaon ki Aur’ initiative of the UT Government.
Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, along with DDC Councillors, Bashir Naik, Fayaz Ahmed Naik, ACR, Giasul-Haq, SDM, Ramsoo, Zaheer Abass Bhat, ACD, Ashok Singh, CMO, Dr. Kamal Zadoo, CEO, Devanand, DSHO, DSWO, AD, Food, ARTO and PRIs attended the “Block Diwas” meeting at Block Ramsoo.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the campaign ‘Prashasan Gaon ki Aur’- launched by the Government, aims to ensure prompt redress of public grievances and improve public service delivery. He said that the main aim of the campaign is to provide governance which is corruption free, transparent and in adherence to established rules and guidelines.
Reviewing the healthcare facilities available in Health Centres of the area, the DC directed the CMO to formulate proposals for installation of advanced medical equipment to strengthen the health infrastructure in the area.
Responding to the demand for up-gradation of Ramsoo High School, the DC directed the CEO to devise a feasibility report to recommend the same to higher authorities. He also advised the PRIs to pass a resolution in consultation with BDO and Animal Husbandry Department for opening a Veterinary Centre in Sub-division Ramsoo.
The CMO was asked to hold camps to provide age and other certificates to beneficiaries in a hassle-free manner, which will help to execute old age pension and other beneficiary orientated schemes.
The CEO was asked to take necessary action against attached employees of the department and seek a report from their DDOs in this regard.
