| Surrendered Hizbul terrorist arrested for selling narcotics in Doda | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Dec 18: Doda police claim to have arrested the surrender militant of HM Militant outfit involved in selling of narcotics substance & was evading arrest after escaping a police raid last month.
Senior officials in Doda Police told Early Times that on 27.11.2022 a case FIR No. 88/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandoh in which one drug peddler namely Adil Iqbal@ Adil Hussain S/O Mohd Iqbal Batt R/O Manoie Tehsil Chilly Pingal was arrested on spot and his co-accused a surrendered militant namely Anayatullah Khan S/O Lal Din Khan R/O Sanwara Tehsil Gandoh fled away from the spot.
After hectic efforts of a police party led by SHO P/S Gandoh, Inspector Sh Vikram Singh assisted by PSI Arhie Bhushan arrested the said drug peddler/surrendered militant from Bagli Modh of Gandoh.
It is pertinent to mention here that the above named surrender militant/drug smuggler was earlier involved in number of FIRs of Police Station Gandoh viz., case FIR No. 128/2006 U/S 366 RPC 7/27 A Act, FIR No. 94/2010 U/S 354,323 RPC, FIR No. 20/2012 U/S 354,323 RPC, FIR No. 24/2014 U/S 451,323,504 RPC and FIR No. 70/2020 U/S 457,380 IPC.
The backward and forward links of the drug peddlers are being ascertained during further investigation of the case. Doda Police is appealing to the general public to extent co-operation to Police and provide inputs/information if any clue of drug smuggling is noticed so that the menace of drug is eradicated from the society. |
