Now, Pak exploits school children for narco-terror in Jammu

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 18: Stooping low even further to push its terror designs into Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan is now exploiting schoolchildren for narco-terror activities in the winter capital region.
The security agencies have busted a Pakistani ISI-run narcotics trafficking racket in Jammu region with the arrest of a school-going girl living along the Line of Control (LoC).
Official sources said the juvenile, a school-going girl, lives in a village ahead of the LoC fence in the Mendhar sector of the Poonch district has been apprehended with 400 grams of "suspected heroin".
Sources said the girl was caught in a joint operation conducted by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police recently.
Sources said narcotic substance was recovered from her possession and that during questioning she told the officials that she had hid another cache of drugs in a ditch near her home.
It was reliably learnt that a Pakistani handler had been in contact with the juvenile and had been asking her to distribute the “costly narcotic at various places.”
A senior official told the Early Times on the condition of anonymity that it was shocking to see the new terror plot whereby Pakistan was using kids to run terror designs.
“What is shocking is to see what Pakistan is doing it deliberately to let the kids become themselves addict of the drugs,” said the official.
He said alarm has been raised across the winter capital region to keep watch on schoolchildren “if any more juveniles were being indoctrinated.”
The sources said the girl has told the government agencies that she had been in touch with the “Pakistani handler” who would promise her money and other benefits if she would act as their “courier for the consignments.”
When contacted a senior official said what was being probed on priority was to see that if more kids could be involved in the racket and how many may have become drug addicts or drug peddlers of the terror handlers. “Pakistan using kids for drug trafficking and drug abuse is a serious issue. Shame on the enemy country for stooping so low but then what better can be expected from them,” said the official.
