ADDC Kishtwar presides over Weekly Block Diwas programme

KISHTWAR, Feb 15: To redress the grievances of people at their doorstep, Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Sham Lal today presided over weekly Block Diwas programme here in block Trigam.
The public grievance redressal camp was held under the management of Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj in collaboration with other departments. Scores of people from adjoining panchayats took part and highlighted their grievances and demands seeking up-grading of local infrastructure and streamlining of public services.
BDC Chairman Trigam Sri Chand; DDC member Trigam, Om Prakash; ACD Atul Dutt Sharma; CAHO, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen; CAO Amjad Hussain Malik; Nodal officer AYUSH, Dr Vikram Singh; BDO, AEE PWD besides field functionaries of different departments attended the programme.
Various grievances and issues raised by people were responded by Officers of concerned departments under the overall supervision of ADDC Kishtwar.
The ADDC asked the departmental heads to ensure that the genuine public grievances were redressed in a time bound manner.
Responding to the issue raised by PRIs, he said that the water crisis in trio panchayats of Trigam A, Trigam B & Trigam C will be resolved soon as the ongoing Water Supply Schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission will be completed by June 2023. He directed Jal Shakti authorities to ensure tanker supply facility for areas facing scarcity of water as an interim relief measure till the project was completed.
Regarding health facility centres in the area, he said that the issue will be taken up with Higher ups in collaboration with the AYUSH Department for strengthening the primary health care facilities in the area.
Meanwhile necessary directions were forwarded to ACD Kishtwar for redressing the IAY issues immediately. The ExEn PMGSY was directed to expedite the work on ongoing roads besides exploring possibilities to cover unconnected habitations with more than 250 households in the next phase of PMGSY. He also stressed about exploring the possibility of road connectivity under the NABARD scheme in the area. He further assured to take up the issue of shortage of staff and demand for construction Boundary wall of HSS Trigam. He urged local PRIs to take up the boundary wall work under the PRI fund.
On the demand of people, ADDC Kishtwar directed Revenue and Agriculture Officers to conduct joint mutation camps in the area so that people at large are benefited .
