DDC Rajouri listens to public issues

RAJOURI, Feb 15: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, on Wednesday presided over a Weekly block Diwas public outreach camp at village of Ghai up Nia, situated close to the border. The camp was held to listen to the public issues and assure early redressal of the issues faced by the villagers.
The major demands projected by the people were mainly related to better road connectivity, upgrading of health infrastructure and adequate medical staff, provision of bunkers for the border inhabitants and the construction of a boundary wall for the Middle School Ghai Up Nias.
The local representatives also highlighted other issues confronting the general public. They highlighted various issues related to infrastructure, health, education, and other basic amenities. The villagers also shared their concern over the ongoing border tension and its impact on their daily life. The District Development Commissioner assured the public that the road from Palwal to Ghai Up Nias will be upgraded or kept in the PMGSY phase –IV. He informed them that directions have been issued to the School Education Department for construction of the boundary wall at Middle School Ghai Up Nias.
The District Development Commissioner Rajouri informed the general public that the more 400 houses under PMAY-G are being constructed in the border belts of Block Sunderbani. He further informed that Jal Jeevan Mission is the prestigious project of the government and efforts are being made to provide tap water connections to every household. He also briefed the public about the initiative of the district administration towards making Nasha Mukt Rajouri. He also appealed to the PRI to monitor the progress of works and ensure that only quality material is used in the construction process.
The public outreach camp was attended by the officials and representatives from different departments, including health, education, and public works. The villagers appreciated the efforts made by DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, and his team to address their issues and bring about positive change in their lives.
