Jammu, Feb 17: Stressing that empowerment of women (Mahila Sashaktikaran) is necessary for speedy development of 21st century India, BJP District President Jammu Rekha Mahajan today said that making lives of women easier and providing them growth opportunities are among the top priorities of Modi Sarkaar. Meeting was organized by Divya Jain District President BJP Mahila Morcha Jammu South.
While the interactive session with the BJP Mahila Morcha unit, Rekha Mahajan spotlighted the milestone of the Modi government and highlighted Bharatiya Janata Party empower women in every field and said, 8 Years 8 Schemes to Empower Women, under PM Modi’s leadership ie Triple Talaq, 9 crore+ free LPG, Nirbhaya Scheme, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, PM Awaas Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts, Ladli Scheme, Sainik Schools. Rekha Mahajan, while sharing information from a government portal about various schemes of his dispensation for the empowerment of women. She said the reforms in governance introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi provide an enabling environment for working women and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is implementing them.

She emphasized, “half of the country is progressing in every field. At present, women’s empowerment can be seen in every sector,”. BJP District President Jammu South said women have to be at the center of any discourse and decision for a future-ready society.
"India is witnessing a rapid transition from women's development to women-led development, we have developed a multi-pronged approach in our strategy under the leadership of our honorable Prime Minister," Rekha said in her address.
Rekha Mahajan highlighted several aspects of the socio-economic and political status of women in India, giving various statistics related to female literacy, sex ratio, female ownership of land, houses, and bank accounts, and also the political participation of women in parliament.
Rekha said we are firmly committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination, disadvantages, and violence against women. This is the fundamental framework that underpins our development story in which women's agency and leadership play a key role in the realization of our aspiration of an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', which is an India that is self-reliant Bharat.
