Sharda MAA Yatra accorded warm welcome in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 17: Nearly 300 school children of Doon International School and their teachers and scores of women were among those who welcomed Sharda MAA Yatra at kunjwani on the outskirts of Jammu with Sharda Vandana .
The 4000 Km yatra has been undertaken by Sh Ravinder Pandita founder of Save Sharda Committee kashmir and Sh Surinder Mirza , Ravinder Tikoo from Sringeri mutt on January 24 with the idol of Mata Sharda, which will be enshrined at the newly constructed heritage Sharda Yatra Temple at Teetwal, Kashmir, entered Jammu Kashmir early today.
The welcome was organized by Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj & Global Solace.
As elsewhere, the organizers took lead in brining children and elderly to the venue so that they can have darshan of Mother.
Women folk erupted in joy and in merriment sang bhajans and danced in welcome.
A historic movement after centuries will see resurrection of a Sharda temple though not in its original place, which is across the LoC in PoK. VKS convener Sh Kiran Watal paying obeisance to divine goddess congratulated Sh Ravinder Pandita and entire Hindu society for this historic yatra,he said the reconstruction of the temple is Step towards the revival of the ancient annual pilgrimage to the Sharda peeth,the centre of learning and knowledge.
Pintoo ji President Global Solace said, entire KP community is jubilant on this historic yatra and hoped, we’ll soon get to undertake pilgrimage and restore the glorious days of the past.
Kundeep Khoda ex DGP explained in detail the essence of Sharda peeth , which is now in POK.
