ET Report

Jammu: A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janta Party from Kashmir has dropped a bombshell saying that “a budding politician” has divorced his wife.

The social media post went viral with rumor mills going rife on which politician may have opted for divorce with his wife.

“Breaking: just heard one budding politician got divorced becoz of Politics as some competitors played dirty politics,” the BJP leader said on Twitter.

In another subsequent Tweet, the BJP leader said, “Hoshyar Khoberdar, Janani Chore Cho Pheran, Puwa Taawan(Be aware, woman snatchers are on prowl!”

Sources said the BJP leader was referring to his competitor from a different party. But a senior politician from the party said the BJP leader in question should not be taken seriously for his posts made in the night hours.

“He writes such stuff at night. Very recently he posted that “Woh Aa Rahe Hai!” So don’t take him seriously at all,” said a senior party leader on the condition of anonymity.

“Just look at his videos how he speaks at night and on what topics,” the politician added.

A senior party leader said the BJP leader has already been accused of being busy on “non-issues”. “We don’t understand what kind of senior leader is he when he is always missing from the ground and has no public interactions. He either attends big events of VIPs or is on social media,” said a BJP leader on the condition of anonymity.

Meanwhile, the sources said the BJP has taken a serious note of the issue and the party was likely to seek an explanation from the said politician over his behavior on the social media.

It’s pertinent to mention that the BJP is on aggressive mode to give a “new life to the party activities on the ground across Jammu and Kashmir.”

After a recent meeting with the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah the party has told its cadres to “perform with dedication on the ground and work for the people with dedication.”

Despite repeated attempts the said politician couldn’t be contacted for comments.
