Avny Lavasa awards six women achievers with ASSOCHAM Award

JAMMU, Mar 10: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)--one of the oldest apex body of the country has honoured Women achievers of Jammu and Kashmir in the 3rd Edition of 'The ASSOCHAM J&K Women Achievers Award-2023' for their excellence in their professional fields, to mark International Women's Day.
Avny Lavasa, Deputy Commissioner Jammu was the Chief Guest and Khalid Jahangir, MD JKTPO was the Special Guest on the occasion.
ASSOCHAM J&K Council had invited nominations in different categories for J&K Women Achievers 2023, for which several nominations were received out of which six were awarded in different categories.
Shweta Mittal, Managing Partner, Mittal Retails was awarded in Retail Category, Dr. Richa Kothari, Associate Professor, Central University got the award in Education Category, Mehrukh Bali, MD, RuhDastkari Art Studio awarded in Startup & Innovation category, Pooja Vaid, MD, Shine-n-Glow, awarded for Beauty and Wellness, Saroj Razdan, Sr. Journalist was awarded in Media Category and Binakshi Sharma, Director, Anmol Shakti Farmer Producer Company Ltd. was awarded in Manufacturing Category.
Avny Lavasa, DC Jammu while congratulating the winners appreciated the event done by ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
"It is important to recognize the contribution of women in society and nation-building. Such award events encourage the women to come forward and show their talent to the world," She said.
"We started this award in 2021 and today we hosted the Third edition of it. We will keep doing such events in the future to encourage Women Entrepreneurs of Jammu and Kashmir," said Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
All the participants were given certificates of Participation.
"There are many examples of women achieving heights in every professional area and all they need is recognition and acknowledgment among people," said Bhupesh Gupta, Co- Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
The event was sponsored by Batra Group and Ruchika Makeovers as Prime Partners and Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM as Radio Partners.
