Dhyan & Sadhna Shivir inaugurated at Yog Ashram

Jammu, Mar 10: A three days ‘All India Dhyan & Sadhna Shivir’ has been inaugurated at Yog Ashram, Gole Gujral Jammu today by its National President Yogacharya Des Raj Ji. National General Secretary Lalit Gupta (CA) and J&K President Sat Pal Ji were present on the occasion. A total of 410 Yog Adhikaries spread across the length and breadth of the country, representing 23 states, are participating in the Shivir.
At the outset Shri Satyapal, Prantiya Pradhan, Bharatiya Yog sansthan welcomed all the participants to the 3 days residential Shiver and assured them of a comfortable stay in the Ashram at Jammu.
Lalit Gupta, General Secretary Bhartiya Yog Sansthan while introducing the organization said that Bhartiya Yog Sansthan is a non-sectarian, apolitical, social, cultural and non-profit making organization, serving the humanity/aspirants both within and outside India for more than 55 years now through a network of over 3500 centers.
The Organization has dedicated itself to the cause of teaching Yoga to people free of any cost. The mission “Jio aur Jivan do” is aimed at making people happy and healthy through Yoga, an ancient Indian science for physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
Yoga at these centers is taught free of cost daily by Expert Volunteer (Shikshaks) of the Sansthan. These classes are attended by a large number of people, both men and women, of all age groups on regular basis.
Yogacharya Des Raj Ji in his inaugural address said that he is pleased to see participates from different States assembled at Jammu for the Shivir and explained in detail the benefits of participation in this special “Dhyan & Moan Sadhna Shivir”. He said that it is an established fact that Yoga is journey of the self, through the self, to the self. It adds years to the life of a practioner and also life to one’s years. Yoga is gift to the nation as it helps in transformation of individual for leading a balanced life, he said. He said it would be better if young minds resort to daily practice of yoga, as it would help them to stay focused on their goals.
