Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 15: Amid the Toshakhana controversy over former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, a journalist from Pakistan hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to donate his gifts for girl child education.
“This video of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going viral in Pakistan again.
His honesty, kindness, and patriotism for his countrymen is the reason why we Baloch people love him. He is really a brilliant and visionary leader”, social activist Zahira Baloch tweeted while sharing a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“One must acknowledge Indian PM NAMO for his humble and selfless act of depositing all gifts as CM in the government’s “Tosha Khanna” while spending 100 crores on girls' education. Calls for learning from neighbors' positive actions”, prominent Pakistani journalist Anis Farooqui tweeted.
On the other hand, former Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing a case of swindling Tosha Khana.
A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Khan, 70, for concealing, in his assets declarations, details of the gifts he retained from the Toshakhana - the treasury where presents handed to government officials from foreign officials are kept. The case is known as the Toshakhana reference case.
Khan is accused of earning $36 million from selling three watches gifted to him. He allegedly never deposited some gifts in the treasury, violating the rule as a Prime Minister in Pakistan is allowed to retain the gifts only after paying a certain amount.
The Islamabad High Court had last week suspended the arrest warrant issued by a district and sessions court against the PTI chairman till March 13.
