DC inaugurates CBC’s 2 day photo exhibition on Amrit Mahotsav

Kishtwar, Mar 20: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav , on Monday inaugurated Photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, G20 Presidency and Mission LiFE- Conservation of water organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Udhampur, at TRC Kishtwar. The Photo exhibition mounted at Tourist Reception Center, Kishtwar is part of various outreach activities being organized by CBC, Jammu & it’s Field Offices in UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
The 2 -day long exhibition showcases the freedom struggle of India through a series of photo exhibits.
The aim of the Photo exhibition is to generate awareness among the masses regarding the various initiatives & welfare programmes of Government of India. It is an effort to familiarize people with the objectives and vision behind Amrit Mahotsav and how people can be a part of the campaign.
In his address Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar appreciated the efforts of the CBC, J&K in organizing the Photo exhibition and urged people to visit the exhibition. He also exhorted youth especially students to visit the Exhibition for an insight into the freedom struggle of India.
Dr. Yadav also said that various Self Employment intitaives for livelihood are taken in district Kishtwar and urged unemployment youth to come forward and take the benefits of these schemes.
Joint Director, CBC, Jammu, Ghulam Abass while welcoming the guests gave a detailed overview of the functioning, structure and working of CBC, in the twin UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
He also briefed the audience about various outreach activities that will be organized during the event. Abass said that these programmes are being organized so that people get benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government.
Expert lectures from the representatives of Agricculture, Horticulture, and Fisheries on the implementation of the Central Sponsored Schemes of concerned departments were conducted during the inauguaral day.

Locals, Students of Govt. ITI College, Kishtwar, J&K Armed Personels, Participated during the programme.
During the day long programme, apart from other activities, Open Quiz Competition and Cultural Programmes were conducted.
In run up to Exhibition, CBC, organized Pre-Publicity Programme at JNV Kishtwar to inform Students & Staff about the various activities being organized by CBC during the Photo Exhibition. The Exhibition is open to the public up to 21st March, 2023 during which people may visit the exhibition participate in open Quiz competition and enjoy the cultural programmes.
