Awaam Ki Awaaz
3/20/2023 10:56:47 PM

The monthly radio programme ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has completed two years.
This programme has gained popularity across the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir as it has developed a wide audience.
LG Sinha during the past two years has heard people directly and has ensured to work on the genuine feedback he has received from the ground.
Awaam Ki Awaaz during the past two years became the voice of people and every citizen was encouraged to participate in the development journey of J&K. It has touched millions of lives in the past two years and also witnessed paradigm shift as far as path breaking people-centric reforms were concerned. The Lt Governor through this programme has shared the stories of citizens’ innovative endeavors, community service and contributions in preserving and promoting art & craft and linguistic heritage of J&K.
After the abrogation of Article 370, the very concept of the governance has changed in Jammu and Kashmir. The government employees have been made to understand that their job is to serve the people and they cannot shrug off their responsibilities. They have been made accountable and their performances are being monitored. The government tightening noose around its employees has made the system efficient and has expedited the delivery of services to a common man.
After J&K’s transition into a Union Territory the government has ensured that the common man becomes the priority and the issues touching his skin are addressed without any delay. All the efforts have been put to build J&K a confident, prosperous and progressive place as the government has strived hard to fulfill the aspirations of the citizens. The change J&K has witnessed has set new benchmarks. Whenever a political government is formed in the Union Territory the politicians will have to ensure that they live upto the expectations of the people and carry forward the development process at the same pace.
Awaam Ki Awaaz evoking a massive response is ample proof of the fact that people want to be heard. During the past two years they have communicated directly with the head of the Union Territory and they would like this practice to continue.
