Distt Admin hosts youth convention to promote voter education, awareness

BANDIPORA, Apr 13: The District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with District Election Office Bandipora on Thursday organised a Youth Convention under SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) at Mini Secretariat, here.
The programme was organised with an aim to promote voter education and awareness among school children and the general public.
The programme was attended by Chairperson District Development Council Ab Gani, Nodal Officer Coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak, ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi Pandit, Dy DEO Bandipora Noor u din, Nodal officer SVEEP Mohd Rafiq Parray, Students and other concerned.
Padmashree Faisal Ali Dar attended the event as Brand Ambassador of SVEEP activities for District Bandipora.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson DDC said that the programme is aimed to educate young students about the importance of voting and their role in the democratic process. He also highlighted the importance of the electoral process and voting in a democratic society.
Various other speakers including students also emphasized the need for voter education and awareness programs to promote democratic values and principles.
The participants were encouraged to register themselves as voters in order to exercise their right to vote in elections.
