Book on 'History of Nagdevata Bawa Tallan Dev Ji' will dispel misconceptions about snakes: Sham Lal

JAMMU, Apr 13: The book titled 'History of Nagdevata Bawa Tallan Dev Ji' written by Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust, President Mahant Rohit Shastri was released by the former Minister and BJP Vice President Sham Lal Sharma in a function held here today.
Speaking on the occasion, the former minister said that Jammu and Kashmir is the land of Vasuki i.e, Ashtakuli snakes. He said there are temples of snake deities at many places here. It is clearly known from mythology, proverbs and legends that snakes have been beneficial to mankind in every way. He said that Mahant Rohit Shastri's book will enhance the knowledge of the readers and Nagdevta Bawa Tallan Dev Ji's book 'Itihaas' will dispel misconceptions about snakes.
Trust member Ajay Sharma said that the temple of Nagdevta Bawa Tallan Dev is in Nagbani Domana. A grand fair is held here on the next day of Baisakhi, he added.
On the occasion, Uttam Chand Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Mandeep Singh, Surjit Singh, Tirth Ram Sharma, Temple Priest Sahil Sharma, Priest Surinder Sharma, Aryan Sharma, Adarsh Sharma, Bablu Sharma and Davinder Sharma were also present.
