Don’t blame agencies, ask people to join probe: Kavinder tells Farooq
4/23/2023 9:57:46 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 23: Castigating NC President Farooq Abdullah for accusing the investigation agencies of harassing common people in the name of Poonch terror attack probe, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta asked the NC Patron not to mislead the people rather ask them to join the probe to punish the culprits as soon as possible.
Addressing a meeting of BJP Panchayati Raj Cell held here at Party Headquarters, Kavinder said that NC leadership should ponder for a while that the central investigation agencies are probing the terror case in which five bravehearts of the army have given supreme sacrifice. He said that unfounded statements given by Farooq Abdullah in context with the Poonch attack are unacceptable as these could hamper the investigation and have the potential to alienate people from the mainstream.
He said that people should also understand the ill motives of the NC leadership which is trying to create wedge between communities misusing such critical situations.
Kavinder said that those having any knowledge about the terror strike in Poonch should come forward and become part of the probe as five countrymen have lost their precious lives while performing duty.
During the meeting, Ashok Koul BJP General Secretary (Org), Rakesh Mahajan, Incharge BJP All Cells, Ved Sharma Co-incharge All Cells and Surjeet Choudhary, Convener All Cells were also present.
While citing the statement given by CEO J&K PK Pole about Panchayat and ULBs polls to be held later this year, Kavinder said that party is ready for all the upcoming political contests in the Union Territory. He informed that party had already constituted teams at district level, and Sammelans are scheduled to be held in all districts in the coming days to propagate the achievements, policies and plans of the party and also to make a connection with masses at grass roots level.
Kavinder divulged that starting from May 15, the party will organize a month long Ghar Ghar Chalo Abhiyan, which will be steered by the party workers to spread awareness about the ensuing policies of BJP and also to inform people about what is in offing for them in the coming time.
Ashok Koul, in his address, asserted that there is a need to further strengthen the party’s base across the Union Territory to achieve unprecedented success in the upcoming elections. He asked the senior leaders to work with full synergy to highlight the achievements of the Bharatiya Janata Party Govt during its short tenure of about eight years. He also asked them to address their pressing issues by remaining present among the people 24X7. He also asked them to ensure that everyone including the last person in line avails the benefit of the schemes rolled out by the Centre for their welfare.
