BJP delaying Assembly polls fearing backlash: Rattan Lal
‘Saffron brigade to pay heavy price for anti-people experiments in J&K’

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 23: Knowing BJP’s dwindling position in J&K due to party’s misadventures especially the number of anti-people decisions, the saffron brigade’s high command is delaying Assembly polls fearing backlash.
This was said by Rattan Lal Gupta NC Provincial President Jammu in a statement issued to media fraternity here on Sunday.
Rattan Lal said that the Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir, P.K Pole has disclosed that the elections of Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies will be held in the current financial year but unfortunately he has not clarified about holding of Assembly elections in J&K.
The NC stalwart leader from Jammu maintained that BJP is bound to face a debacle in J&K as it has mercilessly imposed number of anti-people moves on the population making their lives more miserable than the time prior to August 5, 2019. He said that saffron Brigade is bound to pay a heavy price in J&K and this thing has been sensed by its top leadership, and that is the reason behind party adopting dillydallying policy in conducting Assembly polls in J&K.
Rattan Lal said that BJP is allowing Panchayat and ULB polls but is reluctant over Assembly election showing clearly that its leadership is well aware of the probable outcome and therefore is running away from the reality. He said that the draconian taxes— one after another, peak level corruption in recruitment process, controversies of the highest order with former Governor spilling the beans have exposed the lies and deceits of BJP, and that is the reason the local leadership is looking for alibis to defer polls.
The Provincial President said that ULB and Panchayat polls, of course will show the true picture to BJP because these will also ensure its appalling fiasco for being nonchalant towards people’s issues and problems whether from Kashmir or Jammu. He said that BJP proved to be a total failure both at the centre and in UT as terrorism is very much there, unemployment is at peak, Pakistan is repeating its misadventures as never before and numerous other issues which this party had promised to eradicate are today sprawling in a big way and people finding it difficult to cope up with them all with phlegmatic dispensations running away from the problems taking refuge in rhetoric and white lies being spread like wildfire.
Rattan Lal said that regional party NC is the only political outfit which knows the issues and problems of the people, and how to provide succor to people without becoming authoritarian like the LG administration, which brought in trails of sufferings in the lives of people not only in J&K but across the country
