GKET organises induction programme for vocational trainers under Samagra Shiksha

JAMMU, May 4: GK Educational Trust organized an "Induction Programme" for vocational trainers under samagra shiksha on 04/05/2023 at Jammu Club.
The Department of School Education and Literacy is implementing the initiative of vocationalisation of School Education under the umbrella of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme 'Samagra Shiksha'. The scheme aims at integrating Vocational Education with general academic education in all Secondary/Senior Secondary schools; enhancing the Employability and Entrepreneurial abilities of the students. The scheme covers Government and Government aided schools. Under the Scheme, National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) compliant vocational courses are offered to students from class 9thto 12thin the schools covered under the scheme. At the Secondary level i.e. Class IX and X, vocational modules are offered to the students as an additional subject. At Sr. Secondary level, i.e. Class XI and XII, vocational courses are offered as a compulsory (elective) subject. In this regard, An agreement Between Samagra Shiksha, the Department of School Education & GK Educational Trust was signed on 13-03-2023 to implement vocational education in the trade of IT-ITES with NSQF in the schools of Jammu and Kashmir.
Gourav Khajuria (Chairman, GK Educational Trust) in his address covers a wide range of topics, including training delivery methodologies, learner engagement strategies, assessment and evaluation techniques, and instructional design principles. This program will also focus on building trainers' soft skills, such as communication, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, to enhance their overall effectiveness as trainers and thanked all the vocational trainers for their auspicious presence during the program. Director Samagra Shiksha, Er. Deep Raj Kanethia (KAS) also convey their best wishes to all the vocational trainers of GK Educational Trust.
