Humanity Public School celebrates Buddha Purnima

JAMMU, May 4: The students of Humanity Public School gathered to celebrate Buddha Purnima with great enthusiasm, gaiety and fervour. A special assembly was held in school premises to mark the occasion of 2566th Buddha Jayanti celebration. Teachers and students reflect on yogic culture and teachings of Buddha. There was also informative talk on the importance of Buddhism in society. Bhumika and Shubam of class 9th emphasized the importance of salvation and eight fold truth of enlightenment.
This was followed by a melodious song sung by students of class 6th girls in rememberance of Gautama Buddha composed by music teacher Rajan and Kumar Abhilash. Through their speeches and song. The students of senior and middle wing brought out the significance of the day. They also envisioned Buddha Jayanti celebration as a means of self control and way to redeem themselves. The blooming buds of pre-primary and primary wing in their traditional costumes conveyed the message of modesty and spirituality. Kian of 1st 'A', Danish Gupta of 2nd - A, Mehpreet kour of 2nd E' and Ishita Charak of 3rd 'A' were dressed as followers of Buddha.
Jay Koushik, Prinka, Kritika Thapa, Arohi Bhagat of pre primary wing disguised as Bhikshu (A fully ordained Buddhist Monk). Subhan Malik adorned as Gautama Buddha invoiced the feeling of universal brotherhood. All the preparations and performance from pre-primary and primary wing has been donw under the guidance and supervision of Incharge, Primary Wing. Vandana Sharma and Incharge, Pre-Primary Wing Mrs. Aparna Billowria.
To grace the occasion, Principal, Gaurav Charak, vice Principal, Anku Charak, senior Incharge, Akashdeep Raina, Incharge High Secondary Wing. Keshav Raj Sharma, Namrta Sharma Incharge senior Wing, Vandana Sharma, incharge primary wing, Aparna Billowria incharge pre-primary wing were also present. Incharge secondary wing Keshav Raj Sharma extolled the ethical values of salvation and self-sacrificial mature and motivated the young ones to uphold the values and moral. The stage decoration was decorated by Sehajpreet (Art & Craft Teacher).
The Principal, Gaurav Charak addressed the assembly accentuating the teaching of Buddha. He said "Buddha taught truth and compassions such a lesson is reflected in both the way he lived and the way he died". He emphases on the value of self acceptance and nirvana by story telling. Vice Principal, Anku Charak also wish everyone good health and prosperity. She further added that every person should follow the path of truth and transcendence.
