NIA questions teacher

Kishtwar, May 9: India’s primiere investigating agency, NIA today conducted the raids at the rented accommodation of a government teacher Mushtaq Ahmed son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani R/o Sewa Chatroo an ReT teacher at Malipath Kishtwar.
Today,s raids were in continuation to the previous raids that took place at 6 different locations including at the homes of two Government employees, 2 ex-militants and pro-separatist leader and his political & social activist son.
As per the details available with Early Times, NIA first visited the home of the government teacher under scrutiny at Sewa village in Chatroo from where they returned after not finding him at home.
The NIA later learn about his stay at rented accommodation at Malipath area of Kishtwar town and conducted searches there that lasted for around three hours. The 35 year old Mushtaq Wani was appointed as teacher in 2011 under now scrapped ReT flagship scheme and after serving for 5 year as ReT, Wani,s services were regularised in 2016.
The local sources said that Wani’s name has never surfaced in any terror related case or his any link with banned Jamat-e-Islami. They added that there was confusion about his identity earlier, on the basis of some photographs available with the NIA, local intelligence agencies pin pointed him and revealed his identity at Mushtaq Ahmed Wani- a government teacher.
The NIA during raid reportedly checked mobile phone of the teacher and put him to sustain questioning- However NIA did not reveal anything about today’s raid and the official statement on part of the agency is still awaited till last reports came in.
NIA according to sources was also looking for another person from Chatroo Sub Division, but due to confusion about his exact identity, the team returned to District Headquarter without any success.
