People held protest against closure of school

Kishtwar, May 12: Aimed prevailing absenteeism culture, the people of remote Mungli area of Warwan in Kishtwar District today held a strong protest against the closure of Government Middle School Mungli since Eid Ul Fitr.
As per the details available with Early Times, the people assembled outside school premises and held a strong protest before submitting a written complaint Police Post Afti complaining about the closure of the school.
Local Sarpanch Panchayat Afti Shameema Begum was among the protesters as well as among the dozens of signatory on the complaint against teacher Muzzaffar Hussain Rather, Nisar Ahmed Koka and Mohammad Ishaq Hajam.
The locals inform the Early Times that due to closure of school, the students are suffering added that everyday their children went to school; but return back since the school was closed as a result of which all the students were left haywire.
The people said that since majority of the offices are closed, they were forced to submit their complaint to local police post so that same could be forwarded to administration for necessary action.
The people also involved that some government employees including teachers had established their private businesses and are busy in earning profits and looking after the same and called for making the absentees employees accountable for remaining absent from their duties.
The officials in education department inform that the action has been initiated against the erring absentees employees added that any deceleration of duty on part of the employees cannot be tolerated.
