Early Times Report DODA, May 31: Public Outreach Programs were conducted at three different locations in Doda district as part of the weekly Block Diwas program to address the grievances and issues raised by the people. The programs were held at Block Headquarter Bhaderwah, Panchayat Kharangal; Sub Division Gandoh, Panchayat Chilli; and Sub Division Assar. ADC Chowdhary Dil Mir chaired the outreach program at Bhaderwah, SDM Gandoh Arun Kumar Badyal presided over the program at Panchayat Chilli, and SDM Assar Lekh Raj chaired the program at Assar. The Block Diwas program aims to gather firsthand knowledge of the problems and development needs of the people, ensuring balanced development in both rural and urban areas by fulfilling the aspirations of the public. The program is held weekly on Wednesdays at various locations in the district to engage with the people, listen to their grievances, aspirations, and demands. Today, several public delegations, individuals, and PRI members presented local demands and issues faced by the public in all four locations. The public and PRIs raised various concerns and demands, including the need for improved water and electricity supply, road maintenance, staffing in schools and hospitals, school upgrades, and banking facilities in rural areas. The presiding officers, along with department officials, attentively listened to the issues and demands and assured the prompt resolution of genuine concerns. |
