JAMMU, May 31: The Nasha Mukt Bharat Committee of GCOE Jammu, in collaboration with IQAC, NSS, Nature Club, and DSW, organized an impressive and informative program on No Tobacco Day under the patronage of Prof. Aekta Gupta, Principal of GCOE, Jammu. The event aimed to raise awareness about the drug menace in society and the need to curb it.
The program began with an introductory note by Prof. Shapia Shameem, Convener of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, GCOE Jammu, who discussed the committee's efforts in spreading awareness against drug abuse. Sh. Koushal Kishore Ji, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, GOI, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Akshat Kant, National Convener of Nasha Mukt Samaj Andolan, Abhiyan Koushal ka, joined the program through video conferencing as a special guest.
During the event, Sh. Kaushal Kishore highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse on young minds and emphasized the need to address the illicit drug trade in the country. Mr. Akshat Kant urged the audience to take a pledge on No Tobacco Day. |
