Kathua man arrested with Heroin-like substance, FIR registered under NDPS act | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 6: In a significant development, the local authorities have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a man identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar, a resident of Kangryal, Palli morh Kathua. The case has been filed under sections 8/21/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. According to the report, Ravi Kumar was apprehended near Animal Husbandry Lakhanpur while he was traveling from Punjab to Kathua. During a routine inspection, law enforcement officials discovered approximately 5 grams of a substance resembling heroin in his possession. The seizure of the heroin-like substance prompted immediate action from the authorities, leading to the registration of the FIR No. 64/2023 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
