| Years on, ‘Mother and Child hospital awaits completion | | |

Rajouri, June 9: Despite passing of many years “Mother and Child” hospital hasn’t started functioning in Rajouri district.
According to the locals the construction of this vital hospital had commenced when PDP-BJP coalition government was ruling J&K.
“Politicians had promised us that this hospital would be one of the best hospitals in the region and it would be provided with all the facilities,” they said.
“The tall claims of the political leaders proved to be a hoax as they failed to make this hospital functional,” locals said, adding, “Crores were spent on the construction of the building near Gujjar Mandi but still lot needs to be done to make it functional,” locals added.
They said, “In absence of a maternity hospital people face lot of hardships. This hospital besides catering to the rush of patients from Rajouri would have also accommodated the people from Poonch and Reasi districts.”
“Our earnest appeal to the present government is to look into the matter and make this hospital functional at the earliest,” they added. |
