Humanity Public School wins chess tournament

JAMMU, June 15: Gayatri Singh Charak and Niharika Charak, students of Humanity Public School, brought great honor to their school by emerging as the champions in the final match of the Under-17 Girls' Chess Tournament held at the Inter-Zonal, District Level Tournament of Samba District. The event, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (District - Samba), took place at the Indoor Stadium in Samba.
Representing the Purmandal Zone, these talented students showcased their exceptional skills and emerged victorious in the final game, clinching the tournament trophy. Teams from various zones in Samba district participated in this fiercely contested chess tournament.
The tournament received the patronage of Director YSS, Subash Chander Chibber, and was directed by Chander Kanta (District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Samba) with the overall supervision of Umesh Kumar Sharma (Zonal Physical Education Officer, Purmandal).
In recognition of their remarkable achievement, a special assembly was organized at the school to honor the winners. Gaurav Charak, the school's principal, along with Vice-Principal Anku Charak, applauded the outstanding performance of the students, highlighting their dedication and skill. They acknowledged the invaluable guidance provided by Head Coach Mahan Singh and the contribution of other coaches, including Shamsher Singh, Surjeet Singh, Rajan Singh, and Meenali Jamwal.
Principal Gaurav Charak emphasized the school's commitment to nurturing and supporting sports talent in the region. He emphasized the importance of team games in developing stamina, health, and vigilance, particularly in an era dominated by technology.
The achievements of Gayatri Singh Charak and Niharika Charak in the Under-17 Girls' Chess Tournament serve as an inspiration to their fellow students, motivating them to excel in their chosen fields and continue bringing pride to Humanity Public School.
