DC pays surprise visit to Panchari, inspects development works

UDHAMPUR, July 2: To take stock of ongoing developmental works being executed under different sectors of the district, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today paid surprise visit to Panchari area and inspected the development works there.
Earlier, the DDC also visited Historic Sankri Devta temple and paid obeisance at the temple and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of the district. The DDC also visited Government Middle School Sankri and interacted with students and staff of the school. School administration was directed to improve the academic performance of the students as per New Education Policy 2020. DC asked students to focus on their studies and goals besides school staff was directed to give their 100% and focus on learning outcomes.
During the visit, the DDC also inspected various development works, flagship schemes under PMGSY, PWD, RDD and other sectors of the district.
He directed the concerned officers/officials to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion and directed for regular monitoring of works.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets during the current financial year.
He said that roads and bridges are the backbone of an area and once the area has good roads it automatically boosts the economy of the area.
Later, the DDC paid surprise visit at PHC Panchari and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients.
He directed the health functionaries to provide better healthcare treatment to the patients.
He checked the attendance and directed the healthcare functionaries to work with utmost dedication and punctuality.
The DDC chaired a meeting with officers and PRI members at Dak Bunglow Panchari.
PRI members projected several issues and demands like Macadamization of Kaithgali to Panchari road, operational of tourism hut for tourists etc. DDC directed the concerned to redress the issues of PRIs on priority basis.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, DDC Councillor Panchari, Jasvir Singh, Tehsildar, Vipin Kumar and other offices besides PRIs were present on the occasion.
