| DC inspects Truck Terminal, MRF, Solid waste management plant in Doda | | |

Doda, July 5: Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan, accompanied by Executive Officer MC Yousuf Ul Umar and his team, conducted an inspection of the ongoing works on the Truck Terminal, Solid Waste Management Plant, and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Akram Abad.
During the inspection, the DC assessed the progress of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and the functioning of various machines installed for its full operation. Officials informed that a Baling Machine, Shredder Machine, and Conveyor belt have been installed for the proper disposal of single-use plastic and the production of useful materials from it. The MRF is expected to become operational soon, as the necessary machinery and infrastructure are in place, and trial runs of the machines are being conducted. It is worth mentioning that the main building and ground for the truck terminal have been constructed and are ready for use. The Solid Waste Management Plant is already operational, ensuring the scientific disposal of all types of waste collected by the Municipal Council of Doda through special vehicles. |
