DTF meeting on IMI 5.0 held at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, July 8: The District Task Force (DTF) meeting on Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI 5.0) was held here under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah. At the outset, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer briefed the chair and Members about the importance of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI 5.0) which is a big leap towards MR elimination and improving routine immunization through a powerpoint presentation and role of every stakeholder in the IMI-5.0. She also briefed about the achievement in immunization by the department and impact of COVID-19 on immunization.
It was informed that IMI-5.0 shall be held in three phases on 7th to 12th August-23, 11th to 16th September 23 and 09th to 14th October 23 in the district.
The ADC directed every stakeholder to work in a mission mode and participate actively in awareness of beneficiaries i.e pregnant woman and child and their mobilization during the three phases of the programme. He also directed to make a WhatsApp group of all members and share all important messages and relevant documents on this group. Regarding information and communication activities, it has been directed to involve electronic and print media and generate public awareness through meetings and group discussions.
He further directed to start headcount surveys in all the blocks and to focus especially on all the low coverage immunization areas block wise and identify left out and drop out beneficiaries as soon as possible. The block medical officers were directed to start training of all the concerned staff and share the training calendar, prepare IMI-5.0 Micro plan and make all necessary arrangements to make IMI-5.0 a successful campaign. The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer Ganderbal, District Programme officer Ganderbal, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer Kangan, Lar and Wakura, CDPOs of Kangan and Ganderbal besides other concerned.
