Vice Chairperson DDC inspects Shri Amarnath Yatra arrangements at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, July 11: Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur today met with a group of Yatris embarking on their spiritual journey to the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine and took stock of facilities at Tikri sewa langar arranged by the local management committee led by Ex- Sarpanch Sanjeev Singh Jamwal.
Extending her sincere support, she extended her best wishes to the pilgrims for a safe and successful pilgrimage. The annual Amarnath Yatra is one of the most revered and significant religious pilgrimages in India, attracting thousands of devotees from across the country. The journey involves trekking through challenging terrains and adverse weather conditions to reach the sacred Amarnath Cave, where an ice stalagmite representing Lord Shiva is worshipped.
Understanding the significance of this pilgrimage and the immense devotion of the yatris, the Vice Chairperson took the opportunity to meet with the group before their departure.
During the meeting, she emphasized the importance of safety precautions and urged the yatris to follow all guidelines set by the authorities to ensure a secure and trouble-free pilgrimage.
Expressing her admiration for the devotion and determination of the yatris, the Vice Chairperson conveyed her best wishes for their spiritual journey. She emphasized that their prayers and dedication contribute to the cultural fabric of our society, fostering unity, harmony, and spiritual enlightenment among individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Furthermore, the Vice Chairperson assured the yatris that the BJP Government, along with various government agencies and local authorities, is committed to providing necessary assistance and support throughout their pilgrimage. She highlighted that every effort is being made to ensure proper infrastructure, medical facilities, and security arrangements are in place to safeguard their well-being.
Pathania concluded by urging all citizens and stakeholders to extend their support and cooperation to the yatris, emphasizing that their pilgrimage is a celebration of faith and devotion. She encouraged everyone to contribute towards maintaining the sanctity of the pilgrimage and preserving the natural beauty of the region.
As the Amar Nath Yatris set out on their spiritual expedition, the blessings and well-wishes of the Vice Chairperson will undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement.
