Early Times Report

Kishtwar, July 11: Intensifying its crackdown on Pakistan sponsored terror eco system, SIU unit of Kishtwar Police today carried out the raids at the residences of 4 terrorist commanders operating from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
Today’s raid was the 2nd such operation in last one week wherein Kishtwar Police conducted the searches and seized the electronic gadgets from the family members of the terrorists. The raids were conducted in Chatroo and Mughal Maidan areas where a SIU team along with local magistrate reached the house of the terrorists to conduct searches.
Kishtwar Police have sought warrants against 36 terrorist commanders who are residents of Kishtwar and are operating from Pakistan.
Most of them are said to be in constant touch with family members through various social media and are trying to destabilize peace and tranquility in J&K.
Some families in the past had even travelled to Pakistan to meet their relatives on valid passports which now have been confiscated.
SSP Kishtwar Khalil Ahmad Poswal told Early Times that the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Kishtwar Police has tightened its noose over the terrorists who are operating from POK/Pakistan. “We carried out raids at four locations in Kishtwar District in the houses of terrorists. Raids were carried out after obtaining house search warrants from NIA court Jammu in case FIR No 90/2022 registered under UAPA Act at PS Chatroo.”
Raids were conducted in the houses of terrorist identified as JamaL Din Naik @ Mudasir S/O Ghulam Qadir Bhat R/O Sewa Chatroo, Gulzar Ahmed @ Javid S/O Abdul Gaffar Malik R/O Rather Mohalla Kuchhal, Shabir Ahmed S/O Gaffar Baig R/O Baig Pura Singpura & Gulabu S/O Hashim Gujjar R/O Rahalthal Mughalmaidan who are presently operating from POK/Pakistan wherein SIU searched their respective houses/residential premises.
“During the course of searches, the evidence collected shall be investigated so as to subject the accused persons to judicial determination for their involvement in anti-national activities and perpetuation of terrorism” the SSP said.
“All those involved in terrorism or supporting terrorists shall be subjected to strict judicial determination,” he added.
