Jammu, July 17: During a naka duty on Sohal Road, a police team from PS Akhnoor, led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma and assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, apprehended a suspected person named Charan Das, also known as Charna. Upon search, 60 bottles of illicit liquor (180 ML each, DMB JK WHISKY) were recovered from his possession. A case FIR No 201/2023 under sections 48(a) and 48-f of the Excise Act has been registered at PS Akhnoor, and the accused has been arrested. The investigation into the case is ongoing. |
