Early Times Report

Jammu, July 17: Sacked along with a police constable and officer of the Revenue Department, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Kashmir University was rewarded a government job by the former NC-Congress regime in the year 2008 for pursuing anti-national agenda.
The Union Territory administration terminated the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the University of Kashmir, Faheem Aslam, Revenue Department officer, Murawath Hussain Mir, and Police Constable Arshid Ahmad Thoker from the service.
Reports said that during his tenure as a journalist Faheem Aslam aggressively pursued secessionist agenda on the directions of the separatist leadership.
According to sources, in August 2008, Faheem Aslam was appointed as a contractual employee at Kashmir University with the help of the radical leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani. To appease Geelani, the then NC-Congress government headed by Omar Abdullah appointed Faheem Aslam to Kashmir University through the backdoor at the cost of deserving candidates of Kashmir.
He was rewarded a job in Kashmir University and was asked to continue the secessionist agenda while taking salary from the government exchequer. According to reports in some local media, Faheem Aslam has a close relationship with JKLF chief Yasin Malik and was a loyalist of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
He is said to have been an aide of terrorist Shabir Shah before venturing into a legitimate business with seed money allegedly received from Pakistan ISI.
According to sources in the police, Faheem Aslam has played a huge role as an activist, secessionist-narrative peddler, and organizer in violent agitations of 2008, 2010, and 2016. He has been at the forefront of these agitations in planning and organizing demonstrations, especially in the Kashmir University campus.
Reports said that Faheem was given a government job by the then NC-Congress government at the cost of other deserving candidates only to keep separatist leaders in good humour.
Reports said that he was issued an appointment letter without holding any interview or any competition and without police or CID verification. Faheem was appointed through the backdoor.
Since 2008 he was drawing his salary from the government exchequer but pursuing the agenda of terror groups and separatists on the directions from across the border.
